Is Espolon good for sipping?
Fast Facts. To its credit, Espolon does not use diffusers—a bugaboo for serious tequila fans—to cook the agave. Blancos are becoming more accepted as sipping tequilas in their own right, and Espolon’s mild flavor makes it a fine sipper, neat or on the rocks.
How long is Espolon Anejo aged?
Our tequila Añejo starts as Blanco and finishes as something entirely unique. First aged in new American oak for 10 months, it’s then placed into deeply charred bourbon whiskey barrels and aged two months longer to create a tequila rich in character with a taste all its own.
What is better Reposado or Anejo?
Tequila anejo is darker because it is aged for 12 months or longer (up to three years), whereas tequila reposado is aged for at least two months, but no more than 364 days. For those who prefer a stronger and more flavorful tequila that can be enjoyed on its own, tequila anejo is a great choice.

When it comes to shelf life of tequila, it’s basically indefinite, as long as its seal isn’t compromised. After the bottle is opened for the first time, it’s recommended to drink tequila within a couple of months, when its quality is still at its best.
