Three Healthy Habits to Include in Your Daily Routine

As human beings, we are always striving to adapt to healthier habits which will contribute to our overall mental and physical performance. This is often a rather challenging task for most people because of the dynamic world we live in. Thus, it might appear that unhealthy habits require less time and effort, which is why people consistently opt for them. Nevertheless, you can do anything once you set your mind to it, right? So, with determination and willingness the unhealthy habits you might have adopted over time can be replaced by healthy habits which will bring you a lot of benefits in your personal and professional life. These habits can be simple tasks that require minimum effort and can easily be incorporated in your everyday routine, so keep reading to find out which they are in the following paragraphs!

1.    Limit Screen Time or Use it Wisely

Screens have become an unseparated component of our daily life and it feels like everyone owns a smartphone where they connect with the world. It goes without saying that smartphones have made people’s lives easier, however in most cases they are being overused, to the point where it is affecting people’s mental health. On one hand, if you are looking to simply use the time you spend on screens smartly, you should consider doing activities which benefit you in one way or another, for example you could listen to an audiobook which will enrich your mind with ideas or in more practical terms, you could make bets on different sport matches, MMA bets for instance, which will benefit you financially.  On the other hand, another healthy habit related to smartphones which we recommend is to limit the time you spend on your screen. The first step towards this could be to check the screen time on your phone and start off slowly, so let’s say you spend 6 hours a day in front of your screen, aim at spending 5 initially and then continue decreasing the number of hours over time.

2.    Eat Breakfast

We have all heard the saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Let me tell you what; this is a hundred percent true. You might be asking how and why? Well, let me tell you quickly. Let us compare our bodies to our phones. If we leave our phone charging overnight, when we wake up in the morning the battery will be at 100%. So, for the phone to function it needs to fill its batteries with power. Similarly, our bodies need rest and food to function properly and if that is lacking, our brains will be foggy and perform poorly in any task. Naturally, our bodies require energy in the morning to be ready for the day ahead, when the role of eating breakfast comes to play. Scientific research has shown that we should be consuming 15-25% of the daily intake calorie in our morning meal in order for our brain to run smoothly during the day. So, start your day with a healthy breakfast and drink plenty of water and in less than a month you will see the marvelous results this habit has on your overall well-being if done consistently.

3.    Be Active

One of the most important aspects of a healthy routine is being active, which on top of everything, will improve your ability to accomplish everyday tasks. Now, hear me out, I did not say working out or exercising or becoming a gym member because I know this is often seen as a challenging task for most people. However, being active could include various simple tasks which are easily incorporated in our everyday life, and which benefit us in the long run. For instance, one way of staying active is investing in a height desk if you are a person who spends a lot of time sitting in front of their computer. The height desk can help you adjust the height to your desire and hence, giving you the possibility to work while standing up from time to time and which is way better than sitting in a chair all day. Likewise, if you are running an errand to a location which can be easily reached by foot, then go for it. Keep in mind that it does not matter how many steps you do if you are doing more than none per day.

Conclusion

Incorporating healthy habits into your daily routine doesn’t have to be complicated. Small changes like having a nutritious meal in the morning, engaging in some exercise activity regularly and using screen time in a wise way or limiting it can have a significant impact on your overall health and well-being. Start small, and gradually build healthy habits into your daily routine to live a healthier and happier life because those healthy habits, amongst many other benefits, will help on preventing certain health conditions.
