What is the best adhesive for PVC trim?
We recommend PVC pipe glue with solvent for bonding the ends of PVC trim boards to themselves (Weld-On 705 by IPS, TrimTight by Trim Glue, Inc. or Christy’s Red Hot). Be sure the PVC pipe glue has sufficient working time to allow you to apply the glue and push the boards together before it cures.
Is PVC trim the same as AZEK?
But unlike its cousin, PVC azek trim is specially formulated to make it resistant to sunlight, hold paint well and easy to work with. PVC azek trim looks just like wood (well, flawless wood) and lasts virtually forever. If you’ve cut and installed wood trim before, you have the moxie to work with PVC trim boards.
Does AZEK Trim have to be painted?
Azek maintains that it does not require painting for a maintenance free product and we agree. Make sure to wipe down the Azek with denatured alcohol to clean and properly prepare the surface before painting. • Your paint needs to be 100% acrylic.
Is azek rot proof?

What paint is recommended for AZEK?

AZEK Trim does not require paint for protection, but accepts and holds paint very well. If you choose to paint use a 100% acrylic latex paint with colors having a Light Reflective Value (LRV) of 55 or higher.
Can you nail into azek?
The fasteners should be long enough to penetrate the solid wood substrate a minimum of 1 ½”. Standard nail guns work well with AZEK Trim and Moulding products.
