What to do with Riekling Spears?
Riekling Spears (for more information see Riekling) are weapons found in The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn. They are wielded by Rieklings, who use them as both melee and ranged weaponry, although they can only be used as arrows by the Dragonborn.
Where can I find Riekling Spears?
Riekling Spears can usually be found on Rieklings, so visiting their dwellings on Solstheim, like the Bristleback Cave or at a small camp just east of Vahlok’s Tomb should quickly get the required amount.

How do you get a Riekling pet?
Once the Dragonborn becomes an honorary Riekling Chief by finishing the above quest, the Rieklings from Thirsk Mead Hall can be recruited as followers. They can follow basic commands and their inventory can be accessed, but they are still considered pets and therefore may be hired alongside a humanoid follower(s).
Why are spears not in Skyrim?
Back to the point. Spears were removed cause there was no point to have spears, in Beth’s view. I mean like, a spear (a good one) is basically a dagger on the end of a stick, so its just going to be a two handed equivalent of a dagger, unless you’re gonna throw it, which will not happen in Skyrim.

What is the use of shield and spear?
They are for the right hand and cover javelins, tridents, halberds, spears and other throwing weapons as well. You can wield your Spears either with 2 hands or 1 handed with a shield, changing the animation set when you do so.
